The Teaching and Learning Commons (TLC) is launching a learning community on effective teaching practices based on the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) framework. The goal is to facilitate conversations on teaching as well as provide opportunities for networking and sharing experiences during the monthly meetings.
The ACUE modules focus on innovative and evidence-based teaching strategies and the creation of productive learning environments. They cover a wide range of topics that range from creating powerful learning outcomes and motivating your students to strategies for engaging students and implementing higher-order thinking.
The duration of the learning community is from 2019 to 2020. The average time commitment
required is 2-3 hours per week, plus monthly meetings.
Successful participation in this learning community will allow you to earn a certificate in effective instruction from ACUE and the American Council on Education.
The deadline to register for this opportunity is September 11 at noon. Availability of this opportunity is contingent upon sufficient enrollment.
