Academic Support Outside the Classroom

The majority of our students want to do well in courses, but when the typical course resources (office hours, reading the textbook, etc.) for academic success aren’t enough, students may need extra support. WVU has plenty of student success programming that is widely available and free to all WVU students, including tutoring, success coaching, and tutorials for academic success.

Tutoring focuses on Free tutoring, both drop in and by appointment, is offered across campus. Visit WVU’s tutoring page for a full list of locations.

The Office of Student Success offers academic support for all WVU students. This is a great resource to recommend for students needing academic assistance beyond tutoring.

Student Success Coaches work individually with students to enhance their academic success in time management and other academic skills. They can also assist new students in the transition to WVU by answering questions and providing information about campus resources.
