Our Partners

A core component of the Teaching and Learning Commons is to facilitate collaboration and partnership across campus and beyond. To that end, the TLC has identified some specific resources that contribute to our shared goals:

• Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  TLC partners with the office of Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to promote diversity and “Forge ONE West Virginia University.”
• Flexible Education Research Network
  TLC supports and fosters connections with the growing Flexible Education Research Network (FERN) at WVU, part of the STEM Education "Mountain of Excellence."
• Graduate Education and Life
  TLC partners with the Office of Graduate Education and Life to offer the Graduate Academy programs and support graduate student networking across the university.
• Information Technology Services (ITS)
  TLC collaborates with Information Technology Services to provide training and workshops on educational and other technology tools to WVU faculty, staff and students.
• National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity
  TLC promotes this resource for faculty development, including webinars and online learning communities around time management, scholarship, and teaching.
• Office of the Provost
  TLC collaborates with the Provost's Office Faculty Development series to provide workshops and assist with New Faculty Orientation.
• WVU Advance
  In alignment with the goals of the ADVANCE program, TLC offers faculty development opportunities that support retention and success of faculty members.
• WVU Career Services Center
  TLC collaborates with WVU Career Services Center to provide graduate student career symposiums and assist students in their career exploration and preparation.
• WVU Libraries
  TLC partners with WVU Libraries to provide workshops and support WVU Libraries’ Information Literacy Course Enhancement Program (ILCEP). The Digital Publishing Institute (DPI) provides valuable input on Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SOTL) initiatives.
• WVU Research
  TLC collaborates with WVU Research to provide workshops and support WVU faculty and students’ research.
