Applying the Rubric Workshop

The Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) workshop is QM's flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and the process of using the QM Rubric to review online courses. This workshop helps faculty to understand the QM rubric and how to apply the standards to their online course. We recommend this workshop for all faculty teaching online.

The cost for statewide workshops is $50 per person (as opposed to $200). The minimum number of registrants is 8 and the maximum is 20. If fewer than 8 have registered by the last day to register, the workshop will be cancelled and participants will be encouraged to sign-up for a future workshop.

No statewide courses are currently scheduled. You can however, visit the QM Professional Development Registration page (slow loading link) to find available offerings. Note these courses will be full price.

Improving Your Online Class Workshop

The Improving Your Online Class (IYOC) workshop is designed for faculty who already have an online course and want to determine if their course will meet Quality Matters' 21 essential standards. It is not a substitute for the APPRQM course and will not qualify the faculty for becoming a peer reviewer.

Peer Reviewer Course

The Peer Reviewer Course is designed to prepare experienced online faculty to become Quality Matters Certified Peer Reviewers. The Peer Reviewer Course includes a review of Quality Matters, practice critiquing and writing helpful recommendations, and a practice review in which the participants are asked to review an online course.
